Testing & Quality Policy

At Wellgen Labs, quality control is based on independent analytical testing, transparent batch reporting and clearly defined internal release standards.

Rather than relying solely on general purity claims, we publish batch-specific Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) so researchers can review the actual analytical results associated with the material supplied.

Our Quality Standard

Wellgen Labs operates a minimum purity specification of ≥98% for released peptide batches.

Our peptide products typically achieve ≥99% purity. However, analytical results can vary between individual production batches, and the exact measured purity of each batch is reported on its corresponding Certificate of Analysis.

Where a general product description differs from a batch-specific analytical result, the batch-specific CoA should be considered the definitive analytical record for that batch.

Independent Third-Party Testing

Production batches are independently analysed by a third-party analytical laboratory. Testing is performed separately from our manufacturing process, providing an additional layer of independent verification.

Depending on the product and testing programme, analytical testing may include:

Identity confirmation

Chromatographic purity

Peptide content / quantity

Heavy metals testing

Endotoxin testing

The tests performed for each individual batch are shown on the relevant Certificate of Analysis.

Purity Specification

Our internal minimum release specification for peptide purity is ≥98%.

In practice, our batches typically test at ≥99%. The use of a minimum release specification allows for normal analytical and production variation while maintaining a clearly defined quality threshold.

We do not alter or round individual laboratory results to match general website claims. The measured result reported by the independent laboratory is published as provided.

Why Batch Results Can Vary

Peptides are produced through multi-stage synthesis and purification processes. Minor differences between production batches can therefore occur.

Analytical testing itself also produces a measured result for the specific sample submitted for analysis. For this reason, individual batches should not be expected to return identical purity percentages.

Our approach is therefore to maintain a defined minimum specification while publishing the actual measured result for each released batch.

Batch Release Criteria

A peptide batch must meet our applicable internal quality requirements before being released for sale.

For purity, this means achieving a minimum result of ≥98%.

Additional test results are reviewed against the applicable internal criteria for that product and testing programme.

A batch that does not meet our applicable release specification is not released as conforming stock.

Certificates of Analysis

Batch-specific Certificates of Analysis form an important part of our quality control process.

Where available, each CoA identifies information such as:

Product tested

Batch number

Analytical test performed

Measured purity

Measured peptide content or quantity where tested

Date of analysis

Independent laboratory verification information

Researchers should always refer to the current batch-specific CoA when an exact analytical value is required.

Transparency Over Selective Reporting

We believe quality information should reflect the actual material supplied, rather than only presenting selected or ideal analytical results.

For this reason, our quality framework separates our minimum release specification from our typical batch performance.

Our minimum peptide purity specification is ≥98%, while our products typically achieve ≥99% purity. The exact result for each tested batch is published through its individual CoA.

Continuous Quality Review

We continually review analytical results, manufacturing consistency and batch performance as part of our quality control process.

Where recurring variation or an unexpected analytical result is identified, this may be investigated with our manufacturing or testing partners before subsequent batches are released.
